Frequently Asked Questions
Are your services free?
Yes, our advice and representation is free of charge and confidential. We are funded through the Inverclyde Council but act as an independent charitable organisation.
Will my manager/employer know that I talked to you?
We treat all enquiries confidentially and will not contact your employer unless you give us a mandate to do so.
What if I am a member of a trade union?
If you are with a trade union, your first point of contact should be your union rep. In some specific cases we might be able to provide advice but you should always speak to your union first.
Do I need to prepare anything before my appointment?
No, you do not need to prepare anything. If you have a P45, a payslip or an employment contract at hand this can be useful but the most important part is for you to get in touch.
Do you provide advice around benefits or debt?
No, we do not give financial advice or guidance on benefits but can refer you to relevant services.
What happens when I contact you?
The advice and support we provide will be individual to your case, however we will guide you through the next steps and ask questions in the initial phone consultation. Our service is confidential.
